She is the child of Harvey Welker, a Native American Father along with Julie Welker, an African American Mother. She has an indigenous father and an African-American mom. Walker attended her school at the Germantown Friends School of Philadelphia's Germantown and graduated with the diploma in 1994. When she graduated of Harvard College in 1998, she went to Harvard College and earned her bachelor of Arts. Welker married John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was a known marketing director. The couple have two daughters. In 2014 they began having an affair. John her husband, who is just four years older than her. Since their relationship was well-established, they decided to take the next stage. On March 4, 2017, they were married. Their wedding took place in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
