She's the daughter of Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). The mother of the family is an agent while her father is an civil engineer. Her graduation from Germantown Friends School which is located in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, in 1994. She then attended Harvard College, where she obtained a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker is in a relationship with John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck in Philadelphia and the couple has two children. They started an relationship in the year 2014. John her husband is four years less than her. They decided to take their relationship ahead because things were going well. On the 4th of March, 2017, the couple got married.
