Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin, who was raised in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but on screen in The Piano. At age 11 she was an infant Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. Born on July 24, 1982, in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won the Academy Award for best support actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as young girl, and then grew up in the country. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of an blind Scottish pianist who, in the middle of 19th century, moves into New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an audition for open casting; she was nine years old. She had little prior experience in acting. When she was in her teens, the actress relocated to America. Paquin made her debut when she was a kid, with the part as the Jane Eyre title character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre followed by an important role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of the novel by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding and had a minor role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She portrayed the role of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
