Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took some time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller role. The transition was difficult for Amy because she had transition from modelling to performing. Models aren't regarded as the best actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. After a while Amy made the jump into more leading roles. She starred in the romantic comedy Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy was finally able to get the fame she had been striving for for over a decade. Amy was later a star in major movies such as the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
