Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart, born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. The first time she acted was in 1996's TV production Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure an appearance in Starship Troopers, a film that featured mostly minor roles, was very intense. She struggled with the transition to acting as models were not considered as good actors, and they usually got small roles. Amy didn't give up, and ultimately she was offered bigger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on more prominent roles. Amy achieved the fame she had been searching for for more than 10 years after her film just Friends debuted. There were several major films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role in the Shameless series.
