Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko or [paDuko]) is an Indian movie actress. She primarily appears in films with a Hindi language. The actress has won three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which makes her one of India's top popular and well-paid actors. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 individuals around the globe in 2018. The award also included by Time magazine with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. As a teenager she was a badminton player in tournaments at national level, but decided to end her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. Soon, she began being offered roles in films. Her debut acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone was paired with Shah Rukh Khan a dual character for Om Shanti Om, her debut Bollywood film. It was awarded the Filmfare Award as Best Female debut. Padukone was praised for her role as the main character in the romantic Love Aaj Kal (2009), but this was then followed by a short disappointment.
